Credit reporting bodies

Credit reporting bodies collect information from credit providers and public sources, assemble reports on the creditworthiness of individuals and supply reports to credit providers. By getting a report from a credit reporting body you are looking at the same information that your bank or other credit provider is seeing.

Each credit reporting body has a separate set of files so they may vary.

Contact the credit reporting bodies to request a copy of your credit report or to request a correction to something on the credit report.

If you’re not eligible for a free credit check you can pay a small fee to access your credit report. The different credit reporting bodies have different options and tools for keeping track of your credit position. Remember - you can get a copy of your credit report FREE, every three months, from each credit reporting body and you don't have to pay.
